We’ve been improving our customers’ sleep with our signature Merino wool and Alpaca duvets, pillows and mattress toppers.  After being asked many times whether we manufacture bed linen, we decided we should venture into that market – making the best linen possible, using our decade long experience as hoteliers, combined with our time making duvets. 

What will I be buying?

A gorgeous duvet cover and pillowcase/s made from pure 300 threadcount cotton, with an understated and very elegant Jacquard motif Oxford border around the edge, with our signature satin stitching.  There are also rust-proof press studs on the duvet closure. 

At this stage our duvet cover sets will only be available in white. 

Why Egyptian Cotton? 

We are all about sustainability and caring for our environment. Using anything containing plastics (microfibre, polycotton, polyester) is against our ethos.  Egyptian cotton is 100% natural and will not shed microplastics in washing, or when sleeping under it. 

It also gets softer with each wash, resulting in buttery smooth sheeting and duvet covers. With a gorgeous sateen weave, our bedding will be super absorbent as well as regulating your body temperature better than plastic-containing alternatives. 

Why not Pima Cotton?

There is so much hype around Pima cotton, and the prices are indicative of this sensationalism.  Pima Cotton is actually a cousin of the Egyptian Cotton plant, and the cotton produced is almost identical. It is called Pima because it is grown in a small area in the USA… that is the only difference. 

Why 300 threadcount?

Our many years as hoteliers proved to us that 300 threadcount is the best quality for household use. The higher threadcount linens, although softer, will tend to rip after a few years. 300TC gets softer after each wash, and will give you a good few years service before needing replacement. 

Why not T-shirt bedding?

After a few months, the knitted fabric used will stretch. It is also thicker than the Egyptian cotton sateen wave we use, resulting in a hotter, sweatier sleep.
