Experience the indulgent embrace of pure Karoo wool and discover the exceptional comfort of its naturally lofty fibres. Our handcrafted wool duvets offer the finest in temperature regulation while remaining beautifully hypoallergenic. Ethically sourced and sustainably made, sheep’s wool is redefining luxury bedding for those who value both comfort and conscious living.
Imagine drifting into uninterrupted sleep without overheating. No more restless nights or waking up perspiring — only deep, restorative rest that leaves you feeling renewed, refreshed, and restored each morning.
Meticulously handcrafted in South Africa by skilled artisans, each duvet is made from 100% pure sheep wool and produced to meet exacting international quality standards.
Benefits include:
• Naturally enhanced deep sleep cycles — promoting up to 25% deeper, more restorative sleep • A choice of fill weights to suit your personal comfort preferences • Exceptional temperature regulation — cool in summer, luxuriously warm in winter (only applicable to the Lightweight duvet) • Advanced moisture control — naturally releases excess heat and humidity throughout the night • Completely free from synthetics, chemicals, plastics, and VOCs • Naturally fire retardant for added peace of mind • Hypoallergenic properties — resistant to dust mites, mildew, and mould • Our signature quilted construction keeps the wool perfectly in place, preventing clumping or shifting • Sustainably crafted using pure Karoo sheep wool, processed in Paarl and hand-finished in Richmond with a 100% cotton casing
A truly authentic South African luxury product — thoughtfully created with craftsmanship, purity, and longevity in mind.
Air your duvet, mattress topper, or pillows in indirect sunlight every 2–3 months to keep them fresh. Turn once during airing and limit direct sun exposure to 60–90 minutes, as excessive heat can cause shrinkage.
Every few months, vacuum your duvet insert or mattress topper to circulate air through the fibres and reduce moisture build-up. Occasionally leave your bed unmade in the morning to allow overnight moisture to evaporate.
Always use a duvet cover, pillow protector, and pillowcase to protect your bedding.
Do not machine wash or dry clean your wool bedding. Domestic washing machines and dry-cleaning chemicals can permanently shrink, felt, or harden the fibres. Our wool is not pre-shrunk, and the fibres retain their natural memory, making them especially sensitive to heat, agitation, and chemicals.
For minor marks, spot clean only using a very gentle soap such as Boereseep. A diluted hydrogen peroxide solution or Londa Bio Oxy Bleach may also be used. Dry the area gently with a hairdryer.
For deeper cleaning of a soiled area:
- Fill a bath or bucket with cool water and dissolve a mild detergent before use.
- Suitable options include Woollite, Boereseep, Londa Bio Oxy Bleach, or Londa Bio Laundry Powder.
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Submerge only the affected area and soak for about an hour.
- Gently move the area in the water without rubbing, wringing, or agitating.
- Rinse using water at the same temperature to avoid felting.
- Press out excess water gently and air dry flat, out of direct sunlight, until completely dry.
Our pillows feature a zippered outer casing with a removable inner wool sleeve. The outer casing can be washed separately, while the wool filling may be refreshed in sunlight for 1–2 hours. Do not wash or dry clean the wool itself. For personalised comfort, you may remove some wool filling and store it in a breathable cotton bag or pillowcase.
Avoid exposing your bedding to prolonged direct sunlight, damp conditions, or extreme temperatures.
When not in use, always store your duvet, mattress topper, or pillows in a breathable cotton bag — never plastic. Do not vacuum pack wool bedding.
Tips for Humid Climates
- Use a dehumidifier where possible.
- Air wool-filled items more frequently.
- Vacuum duvet inserts and mattress toppers regularly to improve airflow through the fibres.
- While wool naturally resists mould and mildew, regularly check your bed base or slats for any signs of moisture or mould growth.

Looking for a duvet that will improve the quality of your sleep? You’ve come to the right place! Once you have slept under a 100% pure Merino wool duvet, you’ll notice that you don’t overheat anymore because of wool’s natural thermo-regulating properties.Â
Your sweating will also be reduced through wool’s natural makeup of the keratin fibre that wicks moisture away from your body.Â
Allergies will be a thing of the past. Wool naturally repels dust mites that are the cause of those pesky itchy eyes and sneezing. You’ll also notice that there will be no static in your bed when using Karoo wool duvets in cotton duvet covers.Â
And you’ll have peace of mind knowing that you will not be inhaling any VOC’s off-gassed by plastic or down-alternative duvets. Your chances of suffering from Down Duvet Lung Syndrome will also be removed (please Google this… we are not making this up!)
Disclaimer: The Winterweight Duvet is very warm and is best suited for the colder parts of the country, cold houses and bedrooms and for people that get very cold at night.Â
Your sleep, perfected.
Experience the difference that natural fibres make to your sleep.
Handcrafted from nature’s finest materials, our bedding is exceptionally breathable, naturally temperature regulating, and beautifully soft, helping you stay comfortably warm in winter and cool in summer.
Unlike synthetic alternatives, natural fibres wick away moisture, promote healthier sleep, give off no chemical off-gassing, and are designed to last for decades.
The result is an effortless sense of quiet luxury—beautiful bedding that not only feels exquisite but creates a restorative sleep experience, night after night.

We love our new duvet and pillow.

Although the product is good, the price is still rather steep but as all healthy products in life, it comes with a price tag. I would also like to mention that the winter merino wool duvet is really very warm.

Loving our Duvet, it really is amazing how it Temperature regulates! It is light and I am so pleased we can now sleep so well!
Good quality craftsmanship
I am always weary of all the hype given by those that manufacture and sell! But but but, I am way beyond loving every aspect of my light-weight pure merino duvet. Being a ‘hot’ granny, I would sweat like the proverbial piglet under my down duvet. This Karoo Creation – ahhhh perfect. Thank you for honouring your words.
The quality is superior and outstanding and a product that is clearly made with the greatest care.
Love love love
The quality of materials and workmanship that went into this duvet is very visible. I love the way it maintains my body temperature on cold winter nights, without being too bulky or heavy.
